1. Get your step on
I am a huge fan of tracking your steps and daily movement. It keeps you accountable and it can make it things fun. I love seeing how many steps I take in a day and am competitive with myself. Always looking to beat the previous day or my personal best. Fitbit is always a solid choice. They have been around, and their technology and features keep getting better. They are super user-friendly and compared to other brands that are reasonably priced. I even think it might be time for an upgrade to this one. Wink wink!!
2. Set it and forget it
This is something I can’t live without. My slow cooker is my lifesaver. If you don’t own one, you NEED this in your life! In fact, I own two! One is the traditional round one and the other is an oval one (which is great for pork loins, ribs, anything that is longer). You can get all different sizes too! Personally, I like the bigger 5-quart ones because my philosophy is cook once eat twice. As a busy mom, I don’t have time to be making elaborate meals, my son won’t allow it! The slow cooker allows me to make an easy, healthy meal without a lot of effort. I put everything in and then I set it and forget it until dinner time. Score!!!
3. Simplify your life
The fanny pack is back!!! I swear by this belt, I jokingly called it my “Mom Belt” because it makes my life sooooooooo much easier. When you are toting around a ton of things (why do babies and toddlers need so much??), that last thing you want is to carry more stuff. This modern fanny pack allows me to throw my essentials like my phone, keys, and money in it and I can easily strap it on my waist leaving me with hands that are free. I use it when I am out for walks with my son, when I am at the gym, or when I am running errands and don’t want to carry a heavy purse. I can’t say enough good things about this fit belt . It is affordable and comes in a variety of colors. It would make for a great stocking stuffer.
4. No gym membership needed
If you are looking to get in shape and lose a few Lbs and don’t want to go to a gym, this is the gift for you. The TRX Home Gym Suspension System is exactly what you need. You can easily do strength training exercises in the comfort of your own home. You can attach this system to any door. It even comes with a workout guide and 2 bonus workouts. I personally enjoy a TRX workout and think it is very effective and great if you are limited on space. You can even do your exercises in your jammies if you want. Can’t miss an episode of This is Us, you can do your workout while you are watching. No excuses.
5. Inspirational workout attire
Who doesn’t love a comfortable and cute inspirational workout shirt? This shirt is a reminder that you are amazing and that you can do anything you want. No one should ever count you out! Sooo many women have sent me pics of them rocking a run or workout in these shirts. The feedback is that women absolutely love the style, fit and, most of all, the message.
6. Keep it clean-really!!
Part of living your best life is staying healthy! Did you know that your cell phone (your most prized and used possession) is 18x dirtier than a public restroom? YUCK!! Why not get something to really clean it? Because let’s be real, wipes aren’t cutting the mustard and potentially you could get the inside of your phone wet and that can cause some serious damage.
This device uses UV light to kill 99.9% of bacteria. Another perk of this device, you can clean anything that will fit in it like credit cards, jewelry, cash, etc. The best part is you can also charge your device while sanitizing.
7. Hormone free
This idea is one you really should consider investing in. ButcherBox is the #1 source for grass-fed & grass-finished beef, free-range organic chicken, and heritage-breed pork, delivered via subscription on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. Personally, I eat grass fed-beef and chicken. Yes, it does cost a little more but I would rather pay for quality, tasty meat than pay massive medical bills later.
The meats from ButcherBox will never contain antibiotics or hormones ever! You are what you eat. Try it out and I’m sure you will never go back! ButcherBox is also sweetening the deal by offering new customers Free Bacon for Life. From 11/1-11/30, new customers who sign up will receive a free pack of bacon in each box for the life of their ButcherBox subscription.
8. Meal prepping help
Planning your meals out is crucial for success. The best way to do that is to meal prep. Cook a bunch of meals ahead of time and then portion them out into these containers. The reason I like these meal prep containers is because they are made of glass. Plastics are chock full of endocrine disruptors like BPA which can seep into your food and wreak havoc on your hormones. These containers are oven and fridge and freezer safe. They are stackable which makes for easy storing and when you are done with your meal they can be thrown right into the dishwasher. LOVE IT!!
9. Breathe in and relax
Essential oils offer a ton of benefits for PCOS including hormone balance, insulin regulation, thyroid support, improving fertility, and reducing anxiety and depression. These are just a few benefits, the list goes on and on. Essential oils can do wonders for your mental and physical health.
Not sure where to start? Try out this starter set from Plant Therapy. Plant therapy offers quality essential oils at a very affordable price and they offer free shipping. That is always a nice incentive.
10. Cross it off your list
Is your to-do list a mile long? Organization is key to being able to manage everything and stay sane. I’m a list girl who still enjoys pen and paper. There is nothing like the satisfaction of crossing off your completed items and being able to see all that you have accomplished. This planner is the perfect way to keep everything organized. Plus, it looks stylish!
